TailoredFlow is inventory and production software for small manufacturers in Ghana. If you buy raw materials and sell something you made from them, the two are different kinds of stock and the cost of one has to come from the other.
What it does
Production & manufacturingA bakery does not buy bread. It buys flour, sugar and margarine, bakes at dawn, and sells loaves through the day. Ordinary shop software can only see the loaves arriving from nowhere, so the flour never leaves the books and nobody can say what a loaf actually cost to make.
TailoredFlow records the production itself: what went in, what came out, and what the batch cost. Everything downstream — stock, margins, reports — then works from a real number.
A recipe that says what a batch makes
List what one batch uses and how many units that batch produces. One tub of margarine making a hundred loaves is written exactly that way, rather than forced into a fraction per loaf, so the costing stays honest at any run size.
The screen shows what a batch costs in materials and what that works out to per unit, so you can see the margin before you make anything.
Production runs, not guesswork
Record a run and the raw materials come out of stock while the finished goods go in, at the moment it actually happened. Before you start, the app tells you how many units your materials can currently cover, and a run that the materials cannot cover is refused rather than left half-applied.
What a unit really cost
Materials are valued at what they cost when they were drawn, not at today's price, and you can add the labour and overhead for that batch on top. The total divided by the good units is the cost carried by the finished stock, and it is frozen there.
That means a change in the price of flour next month cannot quietly rewrite last month's margins, and every sale reports against what the batch genuinely cost.
Batches and expiry on what you made
Produced stock can carry its own batch number, manufacture date and expiry, which is what a food or water business needs rather than a nice-to-have. Oldest stock sells first, and you are warned before a batch turns into a write-off.
Raw materials and the people you buy from
Flour, sugar, film and packaging are kept as raw materials: they stay in inventory, restock and purchase orders, but never appear on the sales screen. Each one records who normally supplies it, so a shortage mid-batch is a phone call rather than a search.
More than one step
Where one thing you make becomes the input to another — grain to flour to bread — each step is its own run with its own cost, and the cost carries forward through the chain.

Sell in sub-units, at the price you set
One product can carry as many selling units as the trade needs, and each one can have its own price rather than a multiple of the smallest. Stock is always counted in the smallest unit, so buying in bulk and selling singles can never drift apart, and the unit-mix report tells you in cedis what your bulk deals actually cost you.
